Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CircleSync ("the Service"), operated by Monkweh L.L.C.("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What CircleSync Is

CircleSync is a coordination and record-keeping tool for savings circles (also known as susu, tandas, or ROSCAs) — groups of people who take turns contributing money to and receiving a payout from a shared pool.

CircleSync never holds, transmits, or has custody of any money at any point. All contributions and payouts happen directly between members, outside the app, using whatever payment method they agree on (cash, Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer, etc.). The Service only tracks who owes what to whom and lets members mark payments as sent/received. We are not a bank, money transmitter, payment processor, or financial institution, and the Service should not be treated as one.

3. No Guarantee, No Liability for Member Conduct

Savings circles depend entirely on the trustworthiness of the people in them. CircleSync does not vet members, verify identities beyond standard account signup, guarantee that any member will actually pay what the app says they owe, or insure or reimburse losses if someone doesn't pay. Ratings, "completed circles," and late/missed payment counts shown in the app are self-reported records based on what members mark in the app, not independently verified facts. Only join circles with people you know and trust.

4. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping it up to date.

5. Subscription Billing (CircleSync Plus)

Plus is an optional paid subscription billed on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout. Website subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Android in-app subscriptions are billed through Google Play and synced to CircleSync through RevenueCat. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime through the billing provider used for your purchase. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus access through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change subscription pricing with advance notice before it takes effect.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CircleSync to:

• Run a scheme that promises returns greater than what participants put in, that requires recruiting new members to get paid, or that otherwise resembles a pyramid or Ponzi scheme.
• Harass, defraud, or impersonate other members.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time from the account deletion page.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monkweh L.L.C. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any money a member fails to pay another member. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer protection laws require a different result.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
